PSL for favorite_son

Dean had been gone for a couple days on a supply run, having decided they were running low on a few essentials. Most could have been gotten locally, but a few things were a little more rare so he'd had to head out of town. During that time a possible case had popped up and Sam decided to take it. It looked small. Possibly a demon possession or something small like that. Nothing he hadn't handled alone before.

He'd drove into the town and stopped at the first motel he came across, pulling into the front before getting out and heading inside. He booked a room before asking about the crimes that had been committed before heading back out to check things out. He did a few drive arounds, just surveying the town before going back to his room and deciding to change.

This was bad. This was insanely bad. Seriously, they were about to die and Sam knew there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. He looked over at Dean, the fear he knew that was in his own expression also mirrored in his brother's. He took a breath, shifting, bracing himself as he waited for that cloud of Darkness to bowl over them, prepared for the absolute worst.

Dean was freaking out next to him, scrambling, still trying to get the Impala to move, but he finally accepted that they were irrevocably stuck and that something terrible was seriously about to happen to them both. After a moment he reached over, grabbing Sam's arm. "Sammy, just hold on!" He shouted before screwing his eyes shut and waiting.

Sam ended up doing the same, eyes squeezed so tightly shut, scared about what was going to happen. And then nothing. The Darkness should have been on them by then, should have covered the car and done...well whatever it was going to do, but nothing was happening. So carefully, Sam opened his eyes to look.

Sam Winchester (without a soul)/Lindsey McDonald

Sam Winchester looked around the office disinterestedly, turning in his chair slightly so he could watch the door. He hadn't become the hunter he was by expecting everything to go his way. No, if anything he was used to things going south real quick. Regardless of that fact he was listening to the men in the office with him discuss the contract they had laid out on the desk. He didn't care. He would read over it before he signed anything anyways. Just because he'd never actually made it to law school didn't mean he was naive. No, he intended to make sure they did spring anything nasty on him through this mess.

Sam wasn't in the cage anymore. He'd climbed out the day he'd gone in pretty much. Cas had been there, if only briefly, and had known immediately what he'd done. He'd brought Sam back without his soul. Cas had fled, stating he would do everything he could to reunite them, but he'd warned that Sam's soul would suffer the whole time. That the memories his soul harbored might drive him mad.

Well, Sam was okay without having to deal with that. He'd heard about Wolfram & Hart a while before and knew they were who he needed to see. So thats where he was, sitting in one of their offices. Some guy named Lindsey McDonald who couldn't be older than him. It actually pissed him off. This kid was a lawyer, apparently the best they had, and here was Sam still stuck being a fucking hunter. Fate could eat a dick in his opinion.

Sam/Leviazar - Fighting to find the Tablets

Sam hated getting separated from Dean, but his brother had been determined to go see Frank while he dealt with finding Krissy's dad. He was on his way to the diner the man supposedly disappeared at when he sighed, pulling over at a gas station. He was tired. Hell, he was exhausted. They'd been trying their best to find the Tablets the Leviathan who was possessing Balthazar's body had told him about, but they didn't even have a damn lead.

He was honestly ready to give up. He drug his feet as he walked into the gas station, looking around before grabbing a basket. He stuffed a few bottles of water in the basket and some granola bars. He basically just needed to fuel up and snack before he continued on this damn case.

He felt eyes on him and he glanced up, watching the cashier for a moment before shaking his head. The guy was staring at the screen of a laptop and Sam noticed he was the only other person in the store. Suddenly his eyes turned towards the windows, staring out into the night intensely. Well now his hair was on end.

He stuffed a few more things in the basket before jerking his thumb towards the car. "$30 on pump two." He glanced out the windows behind him again, thankful for the large circle of light around the car.

[personal profile] armed_dropout Dean & Sam AU

Sam was looking over the adoption paperwork again, reading everything careful while balancing his laptop on his legs. He turned to the laptop, scanning the page he had pulled up before clicking to another page with a smile on his face. He was in bed, stretched out while enjoying his second day off work thanks to Dean calling in for him.

He reached over to the nightstand, grabbing a bottle of water and mumbling to himself as he squinted.
