Sam hated getting separated from Dean, but his brother had been determined to go see Frank while he dealt with finding Krissy's dad. He was on his way to the diner the man supposedly disappeared at when he sighed, pulling over at a gas station. He was tired. Hell, he was exhausted. They'd been trying their best to find the Tablets the Leviathan who was possessing Balthazar's body had told him about, but they didn't even have a damn lead.
He was honestly ready to give up. He drug his feet as he walked into the gas station, looking around before grabbing a basket. He stuffed a few bottles of water in the basket and some granola bars. He basically just needed to fuel up and snack before he continued on this damn case.
He felt eyes on him and he glanced up, watching the cashier for a moment before shaking his head. The guy was staring at the screen of a laptop and Sam noticed he was the only other person in the store. Suddenly his eyes turned towards the windows, staring out into the night intensely. Well now his hair was on end.
He stuffed a few more things in the basket before jerking his thumb towards the car. "$30 on pump two." He glanced out the windows behind him again, thankful for the large circle of light around the car.
